delivery

Tonight marks my first overnight shift ever, and I’m a bit excited at the prospect of staying overnight at the hospital and being involved with (hopefully) several deliveries.

I originally planned to stay up until 3-4am last night and spend the majority of the day sleeping, but I was already drained and ended up falling asleep at 11. So much for that. The next week or two are going to be incredibly hectic, and I don’t know how I’m going to find the time to do everything… including breathe, but we’ll make it work.

Thursday morning I’m heading over east for the IMPACT conference and will be doing the worship sessions there. Heading back to Perth on Sunday night, to start an Emergency shift at 8am the following morning… and from then it’s just an avalanche of work and study to keep up with. With all that being said, it is an amazing privilege to be doing what I do, and I’m sure I can make the most of my flights reading articles and getting ahead in my work (or catching up.. depending on how the next few days go).

It’s good to be here.
