More on yesterday’s topic from my main man Steven Furtick, circa 2006.
How close do you have to be to a person, before you can see a speck in their eye? Literally and figuratively?
The things that hurt us the most are often caused by those we are closest to.
The deeper we get in our relationships, the more dangerous it becomes. The more we have exposed to them. The more they know about who we really are. And the greater power they have to do damage in our lives, intentionally and accidentally. But does that mean we shouldn’t have deep relationships?
No.

And also, a speck and a plank are made of the same thing in this instance.
Sometimes what we find so irritating in others is actually something that we don’t like about ourselves.
