Attrition warfare is a military strategy in which a belligerent side attempts to win a war by wearing down its enemy to the point of collapse through continuous losses in personnel and matériel.

The war will usually be won by the side with greater such resources.

Sometimes it feels like life is attrition warfare. We throw ourselves into the fight, and are worn down to the point of collapse. We had a message on Wednesday night about Spiritual Warfare, and were reminded of the reality of the situation. We are, whether we like it or not, engaged in something bigger than ourselves.

And we need to be sure of the side that we’re on. Because God’s grace is abounding to us. His resources are plenty.
