ABC of small groups. The three things we want out of small groups are:

Accountability

Belonging and

Care.

Pretty good way to set the guidelines when in a small group, and definitely an important thing to recognise when attending a small group at Church.

Your Sunday service can only do so much for your spiritual life, but having a group of people to be accountable with with your growth, and to belong to (to be reminded that we’re all in this together) and to have people who genuinely care for you is essential to keeping you on the right path.

Another thing that I thought was funny (and true) about our attitudes to Church is that certain decisions we make we would NEVER make in any other sphere of our life.

“I had a bad experience with small groups, so never really wanna do it again” would sound ridiculous as “I had a bad meal once, so I’m never gonna eat again.
